He could feel his stomach coil every time he looks at her.
“You really should be careful next time, Alice.”
The brunette groans and crosses her arms in protest. Glen opens the box of bandages and hesitates for a moment, his hand lingering over the fabric. He then wraps her wound tightly with the bandage before he withdraws from her.
“Hey Glen, you have something wet on your cheeks.”
The bright girl then interrogates her caretaker, but he was reminded of those ruby red eyes and the bandages that tied his master together. He kept them all.
His daughter wore his bandages, and will live with the wonder of what a father was like, when a piece of his spirit will always be with her without her knowledge.
